Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a YouTuber. If you like my videos, do leave a like and subscribe to my channel.

I played this game with my friend, Bored Tuna and through our playthrough, we encountered quite a few bugs and issues that we would like to bring up:

  1. When Tuna was near the edge or at the front of the ship and the ship crashed onto a wall/mountain, Tuna flew out of the boat and was clipping through the map. Basically, Tuna was unable to walk normally in the game after flying out of the boat after the crash and was constantly moving towards the left.
  2. The health bar isn’t permanently shown on the screen throughout the game which makes it difficult at times to determine how many hits it takes from the tree creature to attack us before we die. Additionally, if there will be more creatures and maps added to the game, a clear health bar and stamina bar is essential.
  3. The game can get really dark and foggy as it approaches the later parts of the game where it is hard to see the surroundings while on the ship and even the map. I am unsure if this means that buying a light source is necessary to see the map but other than that, walking around with poor visibility isn’t a pleasant game experience.
  4. The location of items to collect back to the ship isn’t very clear where we suggest 2 potential ways that can possibly help the player in finding the valuable items. One way is having a book of clues as to where valuable items could be located in the ship. Another way is to implement a soul sprite that can guide players as to where the items may be. The book of clues/soul sprite can also be used as a method of telling the players more about the lore and the story behind the game.
  5. Currently, it seems like we can’t end the day earlier to go to the black market to sell our valuable items. Hence, it would be good if such a function was implemented. Additionally, once we enter the black market, we can’t leave which is quite depressing.
  6. Since the map and the area can get very dark and foggy, directions to the extraction point would be much appreciated in the game.
  7. It would be nice to have an anchor for the boat to prevent the boat from possibly floating around on its own.
  8. Moreover, near the end of the game, we were stuck with a bug that didn’t allow me to drive the boat so we had no choice but to end the game there.

Overall, the game mechanics are decent and works fine but the game is quite similar to that of Lethal Company. Hence, I suggest the creator of the game to work on ways to differentiate themselves from existing horror games and come up with more interesting, interactive and infrastructure for the players to explore as well as more interesting and scary creatures to work against.

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

Hi @DragonExplosion, developer here!

Thank you for playing my game. Even if it's in the early stages, seeing people start interacting with it means the world to me.

I've closed the playtest, fixed and polished some more things, and will be sharing a demo version on the weekend. I'm trying to address all playtesters' feedback. Feel free to join our Discord as well.

For your comments, I've tried to find what happened where:

  1. I believe there was a bug that happened to your friend—when he used the ladder, it bounced him back. It was fixed recently.

  2. I can make the health bar active all the time—good idea.

  3. We will have ship upgrades soon. I also changed the map a little bit and still have a way to go to fix it. In the middle section of your video, you were basically wandering around in the map where you were not supposed to be able to go... :D Those are closed/unused map bits. But noted!

  4. For starters, we have a compass that shows items if any are nearby. Also, if your teammate is dead, he can tell you where the items are hidden from his point of view! (Also, if you hold your teammate’s skull, you can talk to him via voice chat.) Long story short—we’ll have more clues.

  5. You're able to get out of the black market. You needed to drive the ship into the red fog again like the extraction point. (Also, if you find the extraction point earlier, you can get out of the map.) I need to work on this—I agree.

  6. The extraction point was meant to be found honestly. It glows as a big red smoke on the map when it activates (which happens near the end of the timer—at least halfway through).

  7. Will think about this one. Currently, nothing can affect the boat's movement other than players, but there is some potential.

  8. Yes, that bug was fixed in the last few days. Sorry you had to go through that one. I keep trying to test things, but since it's multiplayer, some can escape me.

Thank you again for commenting and playing—I hope this will become a new universe we can jump into, play, and have fun in for the long term.
